A newly designed and ultra-compact riser assembly paired with the tactical-style adjustable butt stock renders this bow unbelievably maneuverable in tight quarters. The bow amplifies Barnett's Hyper™ series crossbow lineup and shoots the small-diameter, extreme penetrating HyperFlite™ .204 diameter arrows. Unbelievable

The hypertac 420 is totally unbelievable. First off it was such a user-friendly website. Totally fast shipping. The i had questions...in which i received a phone call from barnett....who was so knowledgeable about all my questions. When I built the 420 instructions were super easy. First shot blew my mind. I would never have guessed it was as powerful as it was. (Bolts went so deep into the high speed target were I could not see it. Had to pull the bolts the rest of the way through.) Total smooth action from trigger pull to the release of the bolt. Scope on the 420 is perfect. Easiest instructions to sight the scope on. The 420 comes completely ready with everything you need to be ready for the hunt. So..I Just want to say the Barnett Hypertac 420 is definitely the baddest crossbow out there. Don't believe me....get one for yourself....you will agree... I will bet on it.

Having a problem, not solved yet.

I ordered my bow, it arrived, I assembled. No problem. Using the "manual cord", the 2nd shot blew apart a nock on the arrow, destroying it. No big deal. Decided to get the "Hand Crank Cocking Device", it arrived, installed with no problem. I only shot it 6 times using the CCD. It wasn't easy to use & difficult to disengage. 3 times it locked up, each time it was more difficult to disengage. The difference between the "bridge hook" on the manual cord & the "individual hooks" on the CCD is an issue, the Manual Cord disengages easily (with no issue) compared to the CCD. The 3rd time was why I called Customer Service. I was told I'd get an email with a UPS return label & instead my email sends me here to asks me to write a review. My problem will be solved when I get a NEW bow....please.

Hypertac 420

I have had this bow for about a year. Shot the bow to sight it in. So maybe shot the bow 10 times. Hunted last deer season and was able to kill two deer. Shot the bow to sight in for this season and the left limb broke. I bought the bow on sale. I would not recommend this bow to anyone. I hate to write a bad review. But when something doesn’t work or last as long as it should and we spend a ton of money on them. A person needs to write one and let others know.

Barnett Hypertac 420

I bought this crossbow last spring. I am quite happy with the product; it is convenient, compact fast and accurate. Shooting from it is just a song. Last season I got 3 deer with this crossbow. Thanks to the developers.
