I’m getting back into hunting after many years. A compound bow just was not going to work for me anymore so I decided to go with a crossbow. This crossbow had what I wanted at a great price point. The assembly was straight forward and I was able to sight it in relatively quickly. I have no plans to take a shot over 20 yds so that’s where I set it. I paired the headhunter arrow with the game crusher broad head and surprisingly the target impact was so close to the field point impact, it needed no adjustment. 3rd time out, I took a 7 point under ten yards from my ground blind. He Mule kicked, ran, and crashed about 20 yds away. You could say that I am satisfied with this crossbow.
About one week into hunting and noticed the quiver was loose (slide broke). I used the other side and a few days later I noticed the same issue (other slide broke). Now I’m having a hard time finding a replacement or even a comparison to use. Can anyone please give feedback.
Shoots fast over all good crossbow great buy for the almost half off price deal I got off barnett website.. Shot bow at least 20 times since purchase in August (now end oct) very maneuverability design and fully accessory/attachment ready out of the box. ONLY DOWNSIDE I HAVE FOUND IS MY CABLES ARE SLIGHTLY RUBBING CAMS ON THE DRAWBACK AND RELEASE AND IS ALREADY STARTING TO FREY CABLES AFTER FIRST 5 SHOTS I NOTICED. Been keeping close eye on them and making sure I'm waxing as directed in instructions but that's the only reason I didn't give 5 stars honestly its a 5 star bow as far as I'm concerned but I don't think strings or cables should Frey so quickly considering the cost of the cables alone hopefully barnett will work with me if the time comes to replace or repair these cables?. I have a Barnett Quad 400 crossbow and it needed a new string, so I ordered it from the Barnett web site. The string was out of stock so I had to wait only 1 week until it was restocked and shipped to me. Shipping by UPS was extremely fast. I had the string installed on my crossbow by the local bow shop, who did a fast and excellent job. I took my bow home to check the zero, only 1 adjustment needed. I have a 2 feet thick foam target I use, and the 20" bolts were burying themselves to the fetching at 50 yards consistently. That is power that I wanted and got. Thanks to Barnett for a quality replacement string at a very good price. The arrival of the string was just in time for the start of bow season for deer in Alabama. All is good.
