A newly designed and ultra-compact riser assembly paired with the tactical-style adjustable butt stock renders this bow unbelievably maneuverable in tight quarters. The bow amplifies Barnett's Hyper™ series crossbow lineup and shoots the small-diameter, extreme penetrating HyperFlite™ .204 diameter arrows. No response from Customer Service over cracking/peeling limbs

Bought this bow, brand new from Barnett directly online in Nov 2024. I shot it about 4 times when sighting it in then only hunted with it one time, never took a shoot. This Sept 2025, I took 2 shoots to make it was still dialed it and it was… go out on my first sit with it and while I’m sitting in my box blind with my bow on my lap, the left limb “pops” and the limb just starts peeling and cracking. Called customer service e and was told I would get a call back. No call back so I filled out a form online… again, no response. The bow isn’t even a year old with less than 15 shots through it and it’s unusable. With all the accessories and arrows I purchased for it, I’m out $1,000. Beyond disappointed and as an outfitter I get asked by my hunters what equipment I recommend. I used to recommend Barnett crossbows but I can’t do that anymore.

Honest Review

I had the 420 for less than 20 days and shot maybe 10 times to sight it in and 4-5 more to discharge after hunting and then one morning the limb cracked and broke while it was loaded and stayed broken while it was cocked.
