A newly designed and ultra-compact riser assembly paired with the tactical-style adjustable butt stock renders this bow unbelievably maneuverable in tight quarters. The ultra-compact design isn't the only thing downsized on this new model, however. The bow amplifies Barnett's Hyper™ series crossbow lineup and shoots the small-diameter, extreme penetrating HyperFlite™ .204 diameter arrows. Extra Arrows

Buy at least a dozen arrows when buying this crossbow. It blows the nocks apart, you can hear the difference as you watch an arrow disappear.
It came with 3 in the box, 2nd shot cost me the first arrow. Sighting in the scope cost me 8 arrows.
It should come with AT LEAST 6 arrows in the box.

Somebody NEEDS to get Fired

I bought my crossbow, decided it needed the CCD, got & installed the CCD, it wouldn't release. I called Customer Service, was sent the return label, spent $30 at the UPS store on a box & packing materials & sent it back.
I got a call from Customer Service telling me that the CCD was replaced & my crossbow was on its way back. The box arrived looking like it had a rough trip because THERE WAS NO PACKING MATERIAL IN THE BOX !!! My crossbow was bashed about because SOMEBODY WAS SCARED TO USE PACKING MATERIAL !
Whoever is in charge of the shipping department NEEDS remedial training for "How to ship something without it getting beat up!"

Unbelievable

The hypertac 420 is totally unbelievable. First off it was such a user-friendly website. Totally fast shipping. The i had questions...in which i received a phone call from barnett....who was so knowledgeable about all my questions. When I built the 420 instructions were super easy. First shot blew my mind. I would never have guessed it was as powerful as it was. (Bolts went so deep into the high speed target were I could not see it. Had to pull the bolts the rest of the way through.) Total smooth action from trigger pull to the release of the bolt. Scope on the 420 is perfect. Easiest instructions to sight the scope on. The 420 comes completely ready with everything you need to be ready for the hunt. So..I Just want to say the Barnett Hypertac 420 is definitely the baddest crossbow out there. Don't believe me....get one for yourself....you will agree... I will bet on it.

Disappointed

I've had this crossbow for about 6 months and have shot maybe 10 arrows from it. Today while I was stalking a buck before I could get a shot off the left limb snapped. I really liked this crossbow and now I'm completely disappointed and have to figure out what to do. Do I get it fixed or get a new on made by another company? It is hunting season and now I have no bow
